Hi,
I have an IBM p5 server with VIO capabilies. This server is partionned into 4 partitions and I have just one CDROM drive, and one LTO drive. My goal is to share these between all partitions. According to your arcticle talking about Virtualization using VIO server, It's not possible.
According to my modest expience, we can easily use (mount in the same time) a shared CDROM via i5/OS (Virtual SCSI Optical Served by I5/OS).
So, is p5 servers limited untill now? and why does it work for i5 and not for p5. For information, I applied the latest updates for my VIO Server.
Tanks in advance.
